I contributed to the heritage hotel lobby refurbishment project in gaps as part of Woods Bagot's lifestyle team. My role involved a site visit and engaging with hotel operations managers to understand the existing lobby conditions and operational methods. Additionally, I worked on space planning, look & feel, and joinery concept design.

The project's goal was to preserve the architectural 'bones' and heritage characteristics while reimagining the space into a modern classic interior with Art Deco elements. We aimed for a light, bright, and welcoming palette with contrasting accents. The arrival experience was elevated by reusing existing stone finishes and celebrating decorative strapping details on the architectural structural elements.

The chosen palette extended the inviting arrival experience with a slightly warmer tone, creating an atmospheric and engaging environment. Attention to fine detailing, combined with sophisticated food and beverage displays, resulted in an inviting space that seamlessly transitioned from day to night.
